World Premiere:
EMIXAR Continuum Launches a Multi-Reality Art Exhibition
From November 27 to December 7, 2024, EMIXAR Continuum – Extended Reality Art Exhibition celebrated its world premiere at the Schwere Reiter venue in Munich. Created by the extended reality studio govar GmbH, the exhibition offered an immersive art experience that combines cutting-edge XR technology with the stimulation of all five senses, enabling visitors to interact with entirely new realities.
As part of a touring exhibition with upcoming stops in New York, Mexico City, and Vienna, visitors embark on a walk-through experience wearing an XR headset. By blending physical artworks with interactive digital overlays, EMIXAR Continuum presents a completely new way to experience art.
The goal of EMIXAR Continuum is, in the words of Stefan Göppel, CEO of govar GmbH and lead producer of the XR experience, “to push the boundaries of imagination through digital and playful elements. With state-of-the-art technology, we create entirely new experiences and evoke powerful emotions — especially curiosity and joy.”
During the exhibition tour, guests wear XR headsets. As they observe the physical artworks, virtual art objects, spaces, and portals appear in their field of view. Through the use of next-generation XR technology, visitors experience a seamless fusion of multiple realities. Additionally, they have the opportunity to purchase both physical artworks and their associated NFTs.
